Terms and conditions

This is a translation, for convenience. The contract is governed by Portuguese law and, in case of any divergence, the Portuguese version prevails.
Parkinday.com is not a medical device. It organises records you make yourself. It does not diagnose, does not suggest doses, does not change treatments and does not replace the assessment of a health professional. Your doctor is the one who prescribes.
In an emergency, call 112. Do not use this app to report urgent situations.

2. What the service does
Parkinday.com is an app that supports the daily life of someone living with Parkinson's disease. It reminds you of your doses, counts what is left at home, and gathers records of symptoms, exercise, ON/OFF periods and food into a report you can show your doctor.
Every record is entered by you. The app organises, adds up and presents them. It does not interpret them clinically.
3. Your account
You need a valid email and a password. You are responsible for keeping the password secret and for everything done in your account. If you suspect someone has got in, change the password — that immediately ends every open session, on every device.
The account is personal. You can use it on as many devices as you like, but do not share it with another person: the health records of two people in the same account produce a report with no clinical meaning.
4. Plans and prices
The free plan includes, with no time limit, the medicines, the schedules, the dose alerts, stock control, the new prescription warning, the adherence history, and exporting and deleting your data.
The Parkinday.com Plus plan adds the symptom diary, exercise, the ON/OFF record, food, the reports and appointment preparation. You buy time of access, with VAT included at the rate in force:
- 3 meses for €15 — 90 days of access
- 6 meses for €30 — 180 days of access
- 12 meses for €60 — 365 days of access
There is no subscription. Nothing renews automatically and you are never charged anything without asking. When the time you bought runs out, the account returns to the free plan. If you buy more time before it ends, the days add to the ones you still have.
Nothing that affects the safety of your treatment sits behind a payment. The medication reminders, the stock control and the new prescription warning are free and will stay free. Exporting and deleting your data too — those are rights, not features.
New accounts start with 30 days of full access, with no card and no commitment. At the end, the account becomes free automatically.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Your card details are entered on a Stripe page and never pass through Parkinday.com's servers, which neither receive nor store them.
Each purchase is a single payment. You can pay by MB Way or card. With MB Way, access opens when the bank confirms the payment, usually within seconds. The invoice is sent by email.
6. When access ends
There is nothing to cancel: as there is no automatic renewal, access simply ends on the date you bought. We warn you by email seven days before, the day before, and on the day itself.
When access ends, nothing is deleted. The records are kept and come back if you buy more time. You can download them all, on any plan and at any time, in Settings.
7. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, counted from the date of subscription — under Portuguese Decree-Law 24/2014.
To exercise it, simply write to [email protected] saying you want to withdraw from the contract. We refund the amount paid within 14 days, by the same means of payment — including by MB Way.
The service starts working as soon as you subscribe. That does not remove this right: we do not deduct the part already used.
8. Your data
The records you make are health data, a special category under article 9 of the GDPR. How it is processed, for how long and who has access is explained in detail in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Deleting the account deletes everything immediately and irreversibly. Ending a subscription deletes nothing.
9. Availability and limits
We do what we can to keep the service running without interruption, but we do not guarantee permanent availability: there can be failures, maintenance and breakdowns.
Do not rely on the alerts alone. A notification may fail to arrive for reasons beyond our reach — the phone without network or in power saving, permissions turned off, Google's or Apple's service down. The responsibility for taking your medication is yours and your treatment plan's.
We are not responsible for clinical decisions taken on the basis of what the app shows, nor for damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete records. Nothing in these terms excludes liabilities that the law does not allow to be excluded.
10. Misuse
You may not try to access other people's accounts, overload the service, or use it for unlawful purposes. Accounts involved in that may be suspended. If that happens with paid time still unused, we refund the unused part.
11. Changes
These terms may change. Relevant changes — in particular to the price or to what each plan includes — are communicated by email at least 30 days in advance. Time you have already bought is not affected: a new price applies only to the next purchase.
12. Applicable law and disputes
Portuguese law applies. In case of a consumer dispute, you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body, under Portuguese Law 144/2015.
